ခုလိုသင်တန်းတွေ၊ ကျူရှင်တွေပိတ်ထားတဲ့အချိန်၊ ဒီနှစ်တက္ကသိုလ်ဝင်တန်းတက်မယ့် မောင်ငယ်၊ ညီမငယ်များ အိမ်တွင်းအောင်းနေရတဲ့အချိန်ကလေးမှာ အကျိုးရှိစွာ အသုံးချနိုင်စေရန်ရည်ရွယ်ပြီး တက္ကသိုလ်ဝင်တန်းအင်္ဂလိပ်ကဗျာလေးများကို စုစည်းဖော်ပြပေးလိုက်ပါတယ်။

ဒီကဗျာလေးတွေကို သေသေချာချာ ကျက်မှတ်ထားမယ်ဆိုရင် အနည်းဆုံး (၅)မှတ်ကနေ (၇)မှတ်အထိ သေချာတာကြောင့် ဒီနှစ်မှ တက္ကသိုလ်ဝင်တန်းတက်မယ့်မောင်ငယ်ညီမငယ်လေးများသာမက၊ အင်္ဂလိပ်စာလေ့လာလိုသူများအတွက်ပါ အကျိုးရှိစေမယ်လို့ ယုံကြည်ပါတယ်။

February dripping wet;

March wind ranges;

April changes;

Birds sing in tune

To flowers of May,

And sunny June

Brings longest day;

In scorched July

The storm-clouds fly,

Lightning-torn;

August bears corn,

September fruit;

In rough October

Earth must disrobe her;

Stars fall and shoot

In keen November;

And night is long

And cold is strong

In bleak December.

The meaning of the poem
1. January cold desolate;
February dripping wet;
These lines mean that in January, it is cold bare; i.e. there is nothing on the ground and the trees have no leaves and in February, it rains and everything is wet.

2. March wind ranges;
April changes;
These lines mean that in March, the wind blows hard everywhere and in April, the weather changes and becomes good.

3. Birds sing in tune
To flowers of May,
These lines mean that May is good month because flowers bloom and birds sing.

4. And sunny June
Brings longest day;
These lines mean that in June, the weather is fine as it is sunny and the days are long.

5.In scorched July
The storm-clouds fly,
Lightning-torn;
These lines mean that in very hot July, clouds are blown about by the storm and lighting can be seen in the sky.

6. August bears corn,
September fruit;
These lines mean that August is the month when the com ripens and in September, the fruits are ready to be picked.

7. In rough October
Earth must disrobe her;
These lines mean that in October, the weather changes and becomes bad. It is the time when trees shed their leaves and the earth becomes bare.

These lines mean that in very cold November, failing and shooting stars can be seen in the clear sky.
